Digit Filters LTrans3 Boxed Pick 2 The LTrans3 Boxed (P34ID:LT3-BOX) is a so called "digit filter". A digit filter divides each digit into options. The LTrans3 filter has the following options:
LTrans3 = Digits 1 = 0 3 6 9 2 = 1 4 7 3 = 2 5 8
The addition "Boxed" (BOX) refers to the fact that in this case the position within the result is of no interest. So the filter string is always sorted in ascending order.
To show you how to find the LTrans3 filter for a Pick 2 number here an example step by step.
Pick 2 LTrans3 Conversion Step 1: Divide the 60 into separate digits: 60 => 6 0 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 6 = 1 0 = 1 Step 3: Sort the filters in ascending order: 1 1 => 1 1 Step 4: Combine the filters to a string: 1 1 = 11
The name LTrans3 (LT3) derives from Linear Transposition and divides the digits into 3 options. Originally it was meant to be an answer to VTracs that transposes digits as well but creates 5 options and is an LTrans5. |
