Combined Filters VZero Sums Pick 4 The VZero Sums (VTZ-SUM) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion. The Sums filter is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. You get the sum of a number by adding up the digits within that number. To show you how to calculate the VZero Sums filter for a Pick 4 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 4 VZero Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide 1670 into separate digits: 1670 => 1 6 7 0 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 1 = 1 6 = 1 7 = 2 0 = 0 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 1 1 2 0 = 1120
Part II: Pick 4 VZero Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide the 1120 into separate digits: 1120 => 1 1 2 0 Step 2: Add up the digits: 1 + 1 + 2 + 0 = 4
