Combined Filters ATrax Front Sums Pick 5 The ATrax Front Sums (ATX-FS) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
ATrax (ATX), for Alternate or Alternative Tracking, has to be seen an improvement of the VTracs (VTX), as it combines digits logically rather than by a simple adding of 5 to the digit. Since the conversions do not have to be done by hand any longer, other combinations can be done with simple tools online rather than with pencil and paper. The Front Sums filter is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. You get the sum of a number by adding up the digits within that number. The pick 5 is the first digit of that sum. If the sum is only one digit the Front Sums filter returns 0. To show you how to calculate the ATrax Front Sums filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 5 ATrax Front Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide 32162 into separate digits: 32162 => 3 2 1 6 2 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 3 = 1 2 = 3 1 = 0 6 = 2 2 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 1 3 0 2 3 = 13023
Part II: Pick 5 ATrax Front Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 13023 => 1 3 0 2 3 Step 2: Add up the digits: 1 + 3 + 0 + 2 + 3 = 9 Step 3: Select only the first digit (or use 0 if there is none): 9 = 0
