Combined Filters VZero Distances Pick 5 The VZero Distances (VTZ-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distances filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 5 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 79923 into separate digits: 79923 => 7 9 9 2 3 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 7 = 2 9 = 4 9 = 4 2 = 2 3 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 2 4 4 2 3 = 24423
Part II: Pick 5 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 24423 => 2 4 4 2 3 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 2 to 4 = 2 4 to 4 = 0 4 to 2 = 2 2 to 3 = 1 3 to 2 = 1 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 2 0 2 1 1 = 20211
