Combined Filters VZero Distances Pick 4 The VZero Distances (VTZ-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distances filter for a Pick 4 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 4 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 1901 into separate digits: 1901 => 1 9 0 1 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 1 = 1 9 = 4 0 = 0 1 = 1 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 1 4 0 1 = 1401
Part II: Pick 4 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 1401 => 1 4 0 1 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 1 to 4 = 3 4 to 0 = 4 0 to 1 = 1 1 to 1 = 0 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 3 4 1 0 = 3410
